Shipping Information
At Pulse Capital, we are dedicated to ensuring a clear, efficient, and reliable shipping
process for our B2B distributors of certified ophthalmic equipment. This page outlines our standard shipping terms and procedures. Specific details for each order will be confirmed in your individual quotation.
1. Incoterms® 2020: Delivered at Place (DAP)
Our standard deliveries are made on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis, as defined by Incoterms® 2020. This means:
• Seller (Pulse Capital) Responsibilities: We are responsible for arranging and paying for the main carriage to the named place of destination. This includes all export formalities, costs, and risks associated with bringing the goods to the agreed-upon destination, ready for unloading.
• Buyer (Distributor) Responsibilities: Once the goods arrive at the named place of destination, ready for unloading, the risk transfers to the buyer. The buyer is responsible for all subsequent costs and risks, including the unloading of the goods, import customs clearance, import duties, taxes, and any onward transportation from the named place of destination to their final facility.
2. Courier Services
For reliable and timely global delivery of your ophthalmic equipment, Pulse Capital primarily partners with leading international courier services, including UPS and DHL. The selection of the courier for your specific shipment will be based on factors such as destination, package dimensions, weight, and urgency, and will be communicated to you during the quotation process.
3. UK Export and EORI Requirements
As a UK-based exporter, Pulse Capital operates with a valid Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number that begins with ‘GB’. This EORI number is crucial for all export declarations from Great Britain to the EU and other international destinations.
Distributors importing goods from the UK into the EU or other territories are responsible for complying with all local import regulations and may require their own EORI number for import customs procedures in their respective countries. We recommend consulting with your local customs authority to ensure all necessary requirements are met.
4. Required Customer Information for Shipping
To ensure a smooth and efficient shipping process, and to comply with international customs and courier requirements, we will require the following information from our distributors for each order:
• Company Name: The registered legal name of your business.
• Full Delivery Address: Complete and accurate physical address for delivery, including street, building/suite number, city, postal code, and country.
• Valid EORI Number: Your company’s Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number, if applicable for import into your country/customs territory.
• Contact Name: The full name of the primary contact person at the delivery location.
• Contact Phone Number: A direct phone number for the primary contact, essential for courier communication regarding delivery.
• Contact Email Address: An email address for the primary contact to receive shipping notifications and updates.
Providing this information accurately and promptly will help prevent delays and ensure your equipment reaches you without issue.
6. Shipping Timelines
Estimated delivery times are influenced by several factors, including product availability, the destination country, customs clearance processes, and the chosen courier service. A precise estimated delivery timeframe will be provided and confirmed in writing at the time of your quotation.
7. Customs Clearance, Duties, and Taxes
• Export Clearance: Pulse Capital will manage all necessary UK export customs formalities and documentation.
• Import Clearance: The buyer is solely responsible for all import customs clearance
procedures in the destination country. This includes providing any required documentation, permits, or licenses.
• Duties and Taxes: All import duties, taxes (e.g., VAT/GST), and other local charges levied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not included in the product price or the shipping costs quoted by Pulse Capital.
8. Shipping Documentation
Each shipment will be accompanied by comprehensive documentation to facilitate smooth customs processes. This typically includes:
• Commercial Invoice
• Packing List
• Air Waybill/Bill of Lading (as applicable)
• Any other required export health certificates or regulatory documents for medical devices.
9. Shipping Insurance
While Pulse Capital ensures all equipment is securely packaged and dispatched, we strongly recommend that buyers consider obtaining appropriate shipping insurance to cover potential loss or damage during transit. Details regarding insurance options can be discussed upon request.
